Because the ink is designed to be mixable, touching the tip of one Parallel pen briefly against another loaded with a different color transfers ink between the two, creating a graduated color blend directly on the page. With all 12 colors on hand, this set makes it easier to plan multi-color lettering pieces, gradient work, or mixed-media illustration without running out of a specific shade mid-project. The set comes packaged in a storage box that holds all 12 cartridges.
