Painted Graves 1 documents French train writer Olivier Scuro (OPAK) revisiting the discarded train models he bombed during his glory days in the 90s. OPAK made his name across Europe with SDK and WUFC, hitting legendary panels and whole-cars that made it into the Dirty Handz films. After massive police investigations forced him to stop painting French trains in 2001, he stayed away for over a decade.

This 302-page linen hardcover follows his five-year journey from 2013-2018, tracking down scrapped Northern Paris trains - the 'petits gris' (little grey ones) - in train yards across France to paint them one last time before they're gone forever. The book mixes archival photos from the 90s when these trains were still running with recent documentation of his farewell pieces. OPAK brought along heavy hitters like ACID79, CHILL, CURE, IDEAL, MILK, PONE, SKEME and more to session these train graveyards.

Almost 200 photos of unseen 90s classics alongside 2010s panels and full-color whole-cars. Text in French and English. 22 x 27.7 cm embossed linen hardcover. Essential documentation of European train history and one writer's final tribute to the steel that defined his career.
