The Leuchtturm1917 A5 Softcover Dotted delivers the same 5 mm dot grid format in a lighter, more flexible form factor. The water-resistant softcover bends comfortably into bags, jacket pockets, and travel packs without adding bulk — a meaningful practical difference for daily commuters, travel journalists, and mobile planners who carry their notebook everywhere. The discrete dot grid provides enough alignment for bulleted layouts, column structures, and quick sketches while staying subtle enough to disappear during freehand work.

The 80 g/m2 acid-free, ink-proof paper handles fountain pens and fineliners without feathering or ghosting. Thread-bound construction opens completely flat at 180°. At 123 numbered pages the format is lighter and thinner than a hardcover — better suited as a secondary carry notebook or a shorter-cycle daily journal rather than a long-term archive volume.
